We Are One Nation

A common heritage and a common history are what makes the people of our country great. The principles our nation was founded upon live inside all of us. I intend to protect and promote these values. We all have ancestors that risked life and limb to live in our great country, whether you have grandparents that served or assisted in the war effort during the world wars, friends and family who watched the Twin Towers collapse in our backyard, or loved ones who navigated through the economic crash of 2008. These experiences not only shape us, but unite us in a common worldview.

Gun Rights

As soon as I turned 18, I applied for a concealed carry permit in South Dakota because I knew how important it is to protect ourselves and our family from others. I am an avid second amendment supporter in all aspects. The founding fathers taught us that our right to self-defense was not given to us by the government, but it was an undeniable right that should be granted to all. I stand against red flag laws and bans on Semi-Automatic weapons, handguns, and hunting rifles.

Taxes

We are free by default, not by government decree. South Dakota citizens deserve to keep as much of their paycheck as humanly possible. When the government does decide to spend the money of its citizens it ought to be spent wisely and with great forethought. Preserving your lifeline will be accomplished by advocating for less government spending to lower inflation so we can protect your buying power, eliminating unnecessary government restrictions on businesses, and fighting for your right to earn a paycheck. This is not Washington, DC, or California, this is South Dakota. In South Dakota, we know that Conservative governance is good governance.

Education

I believe that our children build our nation, and a “one size fits all” approach does not work. In South Dakota, we know that our parents and fine teachers deserve to have the resources they need to teach their students here at home without extraneous overreach from the federal government. Our children deserve to learn about the history of our nation and be taught the values our nation was founded on.

Law and Order

“There can be no truer principle than this—that every individual of the community at large has an equal right to the protection of Government.” - Alexander Hamilton, 1787

Our law enforcement officers and first responders deserve respect from our community. They have families just like you and I. They deserve to return home with peace of mind knowing the community has their back. Though there are always laws to change, update, and fix, this does not denigrate the roles these people play in our communities to keep us safe. The law enforcement community in South Dakota should have the utmost support.

Free Speech

In an era of big tech censorship, government censorship, and thought policing, South Dakota should serve as a bulwark against such ideology. Every person should be free to express their views in the marketplace of ideas - Including in the home, on the phone, and online. These organizations must be held accountable and regulated to protect your human right to free speech.
